Counseling
Marana Unified School District employs Master level, full-time school counselors at each school. Our school counselors work with all students on their academic, personal/social, and career development needs in classrooms, small groups and individual settings. School counselors do not provide mental health screenings or mental health treatment.
The MUSD School Counseling program is an integral part of the total educational system and is available to all students.
Professional School Counselor's help promote student achievement by following the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Model.

School Counseling is unique in that it is the only program within the K-12 school system that is able to provide for the total development (academic, social/emotional, and career) of each student. This Comprehensive Program provides each student with the support and experiences necessary to become productive and responsible citizens.
The Marana Unified School District is committed to a K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Program. The ASCA National Model has expanded the role of the Marana Unified School District professional school counselor. The result has been a vastly improved program that is developmental, organized, articulated, and accountable.
