OVCN Donates $33,000 to MUSD Family Resource Center Power Pack program!

MUSD extends a heartfelt thanks to the Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene who donated $33,000 to the MUSD Family Resource Center for the Power Pack program!

Through the Power Pack program, ready-to-eat, nutritious snacks are provided to students identified as chronically hungry within Marana schools. Each Friday during the school year, the District confidentially distributes Power Packs to select students, ensuring they have healthy meals and snacks over the weekends and school breaks. 

Studies have shown that students who have access to programs like Power Pack are sick less often, have fewer stomach aches, and are more eager and ready to learn. Student learning and attendance also improve dramatically.
